Working for the Government...

Jake and I have been busy trying to find a way to expedite his transfer to the Portland Airport, so that we can finally get settled into our own place. So far we have tried both our inability to live on his income or on a dual income in the higher "cost of living" areas of Las Vegas (in comparison to Salem) and a letter stating that we need to be in Salem to help my father because of his heart condition. Which are both true, to a certain point, just not as extreme as they sound. Both of which have fallen completely through and have brought us to our latest idea...or well, scheme, I guess you could call it. Now we are putting together both of our original ideas and making them the causes of a greater problem that will be fixed (or at least what we are telling them) by us moving to Salem. So much fun and the funny thing is that this all happened within the last two weeks.
Other than that the girls and I are doing fine here with my mom and sister. We had a rocky first week, but Maddi and I had a little talk about her needing to sleep more at night so that Mommy doesn't go crazy. I've already begun working for my mom on a few projects and helping my sister with her little girl. Lizzi and Lillie are getting along just fine. We have found that Lizzi has a shoe fetish. she likes to get hold of Lillie's old shoes and wear them everywhere. She has even figured out how to put them on all by herself. We've had to adjust to the much cooler and wetter weather here in Salem as compared to hotter and dryer weather of Las Vegas. The other day I had to put on warm pants, a sweatshirt and thick socks just to keep myself from shivering.
Hope things are going well for everyone!!
