Some helpful info. for those that happen to be out of your registered state during the presidential election. I had registered to vote in Nevada, but now I'm in Oregon and wanted to get my vote in to be counted. I first went into the Registery Office, here in Salem, hoping to somehow transfer my registery to Oregon; which I found out you can't do. By this time it was to late to just re-register in Oregon to vote and I felt sick that I wouldn't be able to vote just because I moved. Then the lady that was helping me said that as long as I had registered to vote before Oct. 14th in my previous state that I could still vote on a Presidential Only Ballot. They just have to hold the ballot until they can varify from my previous state that I was registered on time. So, she handed me a ballot that she had crossed through everything but the Presidential Section and I got to vote!!
In conclusion, there is no reason that you cannot get your vote in, if you are a registered voter. So, make sure you're registered and give yourself a voice in how this great country is run!!
