Official Marathon Training
Another day, another run.
I was feeling a little lacking in energy this morning and it shows in my time.
3 miles
26 minutes 45 seconds
Average Mile
8 minutes 55 seconds
It's not awful, but not exactly good. I think it's time to reevaluate my diet, to increase my energy. I'm already taking a Prenatal Vitamin {please note I'm NOT pregnant} to keep my Iron and B Vitamins up, but I think I need to be making sure I'm eating enough.
I am looking forward to having the next 2 days off from running. Tomorrow is my second rest day and Friday is my cross-training day. Which basically means, for me, that for the next 2 days I'll just be going to the gym to do my weights and walking on the treadmill. That's resting for me ;D
I'm getting aNxIoUs to see how I do on Saturday. I don't think I've ran a full 6 miles or more, outside, since the Las Vegas 1/2 Marathon. Since then, the furthest I've gone, that I can remember, is 5 miles. But, I think I'll do just fine. I guess I'm worried how well I will do on my average miles. But, as long as I keep my pace to 11 minute mile or less, I will be able to meet and exceed my goal of running the marathon in 5 hours or less.
4 days down, 17 weeks and 3 days to go!!!

I would love to be able to run a marathon! Actually, realistically, for me my goal would be to run a 1/2 marathon, and that would be incredible! I think it's so awesome that you have such a great workout routine!
I think you could totally do it. I mean, I was able to run the Las Vegas 1/2 Marathon with only about a month or 2 of training. Granted I probably would not have been quite as sore afterward if I had trained more, but it's more do-able than people think. I've actually have a 1/2 Marathon planned for the 4th of July. I'm hoping to better my previous time, even if it's only by a few seconds. ;D
